How the calculation works
The tool averages the three readings, finds the largest deviation from that average, then divides that deviation by the average and converts it to a percentage.
Use this as a field calculation aid. Compare the result with the equipment manufacturer's limits and verify connections, loading, supply conditions, and measurement accuracy before condemning a motor or compressor.
